The Processor 

On this side you will find everything about Processor's or CPU ( Central Processing Unit ). Back in the 70's there were the 6800 series made by Motorola and then there were the 8080 processors and after that the 8086. 

Those Chips were running compared to today at "low" Clock Speeds = Cycles per second in the range not over 10Mhz .Today's Chips running Clock Speeds of up to 1000Mhz on a Bus-Frequency of 133Mhz or more .

Today's fastest Chips are either Athlon or Pentium III or XEON (Pentium III High quality) processors. Standard for today's Computers are 500Mhz Chips never mind the make or Manufacturer.
